EDUCATIONAL SURROGATE TRAINING

In Florida,  an “educational surrogate” is defined as an individual appointed to act in the place of a parent in safeguarding a student’s rights in the exceptional education decision-making process, when the parent, after reasonable efforts, cannot be located by the school district, the studentis a ward of the state under State law, or the student is an unaccompanied homeless youth.   In order to be appointed in the role of surrogate parent, you must successfully complete the Educational Surrogate Training.  The next session will be held as follows:
